Clicking the control panel within the start menu will open the control panel and other settings to customize your computer in Windows 7, however, in Windows 10, you will click on the setting icon within the start menu which will open the Windows setting display for you to customize system settings.
- Logout option
In Windows 7, the log out option is located within the start menu, whereas in Windows 10, the log out option which has been renamed to sign out is located by clicking the user account option.
- Search bar
The search bar in Windows 7 is located within the start menu, and is used to search for programs and files on your computer system.
In Windows 10, the search bar is located outside the start menu and is represented by a magnifying glass icon.
